CORNWALL HOLIDAYS

Holidays in Cornwall mean following in the footsteps of giants, kings and wizards, walking across oceans to castles and relaxing by harbours where seals pop up from the sea.

From the amazing surfing beaches of the North Coast to the sheltered estuaries and inlets of the South, Cornwall holidays provide an ideal break in a region noted for some of the mildest weather in Britain.

Taste Michelin-starred cuisine or fresh fish straight off the boat; enjoy an active surfing holiday or one lazing on a golden, sandy beach; visit fantastic scenery from rugged rocky cliff faces to heather-covered moors - and spend a holiday where folklore surrounds you.

Whatever you choose your holiday to entail, we have the Cornwall accommodation to match, including cosy holiday cottages, family-friendly holiday parks, B&Bs perfect for a weekend getaway or luxury hotels overlooking some of the county's most magical locations.

Things to do in Cornwall

Cornwall beaches

Cornwall's beaches are among the best and most beautiful in the world.

From sandy stretches known the world over to coves that only the locals know about, each of the 300+ beaches in Cornwall is different to the rest. More than 200 of these are dog-friendly, while there’s also a wide variety of beach to enjoy; including golden sands, pebbled or shingled.

Surfers will want to head to Fistral Beach in Newquay, those craving turquoise seas and unique beauty will love Kynance Cove, Porthcurno, Perranporth and Whitsand Bay, while Porthmeor in St Ives is the ideal addition to a town holiday.

Holiday activities

As well as the huge range of beaches, there are many other brilliant things to do in Cornwall. One of the biggest draws in recent years has been the Eden Project, a dramatic global greenhouse which houses the largest indoor rainforest in the world.

If it’s natural beauty you’re after, you’re in luck. The jaw-dropping Minack Theatre is a theatre dug into the side of a cliff, overlooking azure seas and golden beaches; The Lost Gardens of Heligan are one of the most sub-tropical gardens in the UK; while St Michael’s Mount, Land’s End and Tintagel are all so beautiful they have to be seen to be believed.

Eating out

From Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants to unique cafes that hug the cliff face, Cornwall’s food and drink offerings are truly exceptional.

Whether you’re looking for the best seafood restaurants in Cornwall, using ingredients caught directly from the metres-away-harbour, want to indulge in delicious local produce like a cream tea, Cornish pasty or homemade ice cream, or fancy savouring an ale from one of the county’s many top breweries, there are plenty of opportunities for foodies in Cornwall.

Visit festivals like Falmouth Oyster Festival, dine out at a Rick Stein restaurant or try something new like Stargazy Pie or Cornish Yarg cheese - you won’t be leaving hungry!
