A Local's Guide to Land's End

Land’s End is not a town or village, there are no houses. It’s based on the site of a couple of farmsteads but nowadays it is a top visitor attraction that consists of some cool amusements and a variety of places to eat. The nearest towns and villages are St Just and Sennen, along with Penwith’s largest settlement, Penzance, that lies 9.5 miles away.

The prettiest harbours in Cornwall

We’ve rounded up a fantastic selection of the best harbours in Cornwall to entice you to get some fresh sea air at one of these amazing spots.

An iconic location

From the West Country Shopping Village where you can pick up a souvenir, to the Land’s End Restaurant and Bar where you can refuel, you certainly won’t be short of things to do! the pretty village of St Just is close by, while other fantastic nearby attractions include the spectacular headland of Cape Cornwall, the subtropical Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Old Success Inn pub in Sennen Cove.

The iconic signpost makes for the perfect photo opportunity, while cliff-top walks and the South West Coast Path allow opportunities to meander along beautiful natural landscapes. If you’re lucky, you may spot a dolphin, basking shark or seal out to sea.

It’s also known as being the start or end point to the Land’s End to John O’Groats route - the furthest possible distance in the British Isles and a common challenge for walkers or cyclists.
