Best dog-friendly Cornwall beaches

From popular spots including Fistral and Watergate Bay in Newquay, through to secret coves and bays that you may never have heard of before now, we've done the homework to let you know which Cornish beaches allow dogs. Read on to see the full list of beaches where dogs are allowed all year round, where there are restrictions, and where there are annual bans.

The ultimate Cornwall bucket list

As only 58% of children have ever tried a Cornish pasty, we've created the ultimate bucket list for visitors to the beautiful county of Cornwall. This also follows the news that the county has been granted minority status and the list is a celebration of all things Cornwall. Attractions such as the Minack Theatre, The Barbara Hepworth Museum and The Eden Project are the stars.

An untouched village

Surrounded by water, the sleepy seaside village of Millbrook is in an unspoiled region, and only a short stride from the Devon border and vibrant Plymouth.

The neighbouring Mount Edgcumbe Country Park provides an exhilarating opportunity for discovery as you can explore the wide and varied terrain by Segway!

Anthony House is not far away and was the filming location for Tim Burton’s 2010 movie Alice in Wonderland. You’ll find history a-plenty inside too with magnificent artwork and tapestries.

The Rame Head Peninsula is a playground for fishing and watersports, or for a more sedate past time, Whitsand Bay is a three-mile stretch of sand.

There are shops and pubs in the village, but if you venture further afield, a ferry runs regularly from Torpoint to the City of Plymouth and the famous Plymouth Hoe.
