An idyllic retreat to unwind and relax. Within easy reach of a range of National Trust locations, including Cotehele, Lanhydrock, and Buckland Abbey. On your doorstep you can escape to the less well known local delights of the St Dominica Heritage Trail, or Kit Hill with its breathtaking far reaching views, taking in Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor to the West, High Willhays on Dartmoor to the East, and the Tamar Estuary and Plymouth to the South. A wide range of moorland, woodland and riverside walks are just a short drive away, as well as local beaches, coastal and market towns, and fishing villages. Alternatively, spend the day exploring the biomes of the nearby Eden Project, or relax at the nearby St Mellion Estate luxury resort. The local village has a pub with restaurant, and close by you will find the towns of Callington and Saltash, offering a range of shopping, eating and drinking opportunities, or venture further afield to picturesque Tavistock or the bustling fishing port of Looe.
Enter the cottage through the French doors into the cosy, vaulted open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with Smart TV for streaming your favourite films and music. As well as a comfy sofa, there is a dining table and chairs, and a well-equipped kitchen area, with an oven and two-ring hob, microwave, toaster and a fridge with ice-compartment. To the side is a contemporary shower room, with shower, WC and heated towel rail. At the rear of the cottage, step down into the snug bedroom with king-size bed, with window framing the view of the lakes, ducks, wildlife and countryside beyond.
Outside you have your own area of a shared garden with a secluded seating area where you can take in the views whilst enjoying breakfast, or relax with a drink, basking in the evening sunset. Located in the grounds and to the side of the owner’s farmhouse you can take advantage of the extensive shared gardens, peaceful countryside and the lakes with the resident ducks, barn owls and other wildlife. There is private, off-road parking available right next to the cottage.
