The cottage is lovely, and beautifully decorated. Re the kitchen, the oven is too low to the ground and utensils are basic. Beds are old and need replacing. No heating in the small bedroom. We had to bring our own towels, which was a pain. A lovely place, and close to where we needed to be. If I need to stay in the area again I will find somewhere Read moreelse to stay. Hide

This was the perfect cottage for the two of us. We loved it. We are hoping to book in the colder months just so Colin can get the fire up and running. Just loved it. Easily host a family of 4 in there (if young children though, Id take a couple of adjustable narrow stairgates, just to be sure. But we loved every single moment of being there. CottagRead moree was well stocked with everything you need - even a hairdryer! You really just need to bring yourself, your car and your clothes/essentials. Hide

Porthole Cottage was easy to find and a good location to enjoy our stay and explore Devon and Cornwall, exactly as you described. We did have to duck a few times during our stay, which we did expect, staying in a lovely cosy cottage with plenty of character. Everything we needed. Thank you !

Cottages quiet remote lots of nice walks Bude is lovley . Cottage is not ideal for a family of five with small children as there is not much room for them to play. Fridge very small if you eat in alot. Milky way,the big sheep loads of fun.

We really enjoyed our stay at Porthole Cottage! Beautiful location with plenty of beautiful hikes at its doorstep. Central to many towns shops and pubs by short car ride. Transit at door to Bude. Loved the patio on a summer afternoon and there was plenty of space. Low beams are something to be aware of, but don't let that deter you from consideringRead more this charming spot. Host was quick to respond and helpful. Single twin room is great for a young child, my young'n loved the unique porthole wall. Hide
