Situated in an elevated position above the harbour, a short walk downhill will take you into Boscastle’s village centre with its picturesque harbour, shops, restaurants, pubs and access to the coastal footpath. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within driving distance. The popular fishing towns of Port Isaac and Padstow are within easy reach, both boasting independent shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries, while a little further afield, cultural sites such as King Arthur’s Castle, Llanhydrock House and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are waiting to be explored.
This lovely deceptively spacious cottage offers plenty of charm and character and a great quirky layout. Step into the hallway which is a useful place to hang coats or store muddy boots after an adventurous walk. You will pass the contemporary shower room with shower, WC and underfloor heating and head into the kitchen where you can cook your favourite meals, with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, or plan your day ahead at the breakfast bar. There is also a twin bedroom off the kitchen. Head up to the first floor to the lounge/diner and curl up with your favourite book in front of the wood burner or enjoy your favourite programme on the Smart TV. The master double bedroom is also located upstairs and overlooks the river it also has a sink.
Heading outside from the kitchen is a small private, secluded courtyard here you can relax with your morning coffee and plan the day ahead and in the evenings enjoy a spot of al fresco dining with a BBQ. There is also a useful utility cupboard located in the courtyard which houses the washing machine. A parking permit is provided for one car and can be used in the small community centre car park diagonally opposite the cottage. There is a small access path to the cottage shared only with the neighbouring property with the river running beside it, which is secured by a wall.
