The lodge is in a great spot to explore the whole of North Cornwall with the popular resort town of Bude within a half an hour's drive. Bude has a selection of beaches and shops and is worth a visit for great for a day out. You may like to head to the medieval village of Tintagel, with its craggy ruins steeped in myths and legends and Merlin’s Cave set in dramatic surroundings with a beautiful waterfall. If you fancy travelling slightly further afield, other attractions accessible from here include Port Isaac, Padstow and Rock, The Eden Project, the Tate Gallery at St Ives, and numerous National Trust properties.

From the main road, the property is accessed via a farm track. As you enter the lodge, there is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area enjoys stunning countryside views which can be enjoyed from the comfy sofas. In the lounge area, there is a Smart TV/DVD, and a flame-effect electric fire, which is perfect to use on cooler evenings. The adjacent kitchen/diner area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. All four guests can sit at the dining table to socialise and enjoy meals together. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and benefits from a shower over the bath and WC. Heading upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin.

Outside, the wooden veranda is a great spot to sit at the outdoor table and enjoy a nice coffee or perhaps some breakfast whilst taking in the views across the farmland across to Bodmin. The lodge also benefits from a children's play area to keep smaller guests entertained - this is shared with the other lodge. Next to the lodge, there is private off-road parking. The local surroundings have plenty to offer including a fishing lake and a selection of country walks.

A really lovely cottage, location is great for north Cornwall beaches (just check the tides, as most of these only exist at low tide!). Our children made good use of the swing and slide set. Beds and chairs were all comfortable, and really well equipped, bar the strange absence of soap in the bathroom. Sadly no animals around during our stay apart Read morefrom some sheep in the back field for the first night. Hide

This place was absolutely brilliant and really affordable out of peak season. It was really clean and tidy with absolutely everything you could need. It had washer, dryer, hairdryer and really efficient heating- a full list of facilities wasn't included on the property page so thought other holiday makers might find this useful! The garden was loveRead morely and in summer weather would be perfect for small children. The owner was really helpful and came out to fix the WiFi for us- thank you so much! Hide

Very clean & well equipped accommodation. Good location for exploring the area and within driving distance of most of the places of interest. You need to be reasonably active as bathroom is on the ground floor and unfortunately, with age, I had to negotiate the stairs several times a night. Would highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, well equip and peaceful and quiet. Garden is fenced with a cattle grid instead of gate, so not 100% secure if you have an adventurous dog. Washing machine, washing line so convenient. Beach 20 mins away and good location for groceries, also retail park nearby. Would recommend and look forward to our next stay. Thank you.

We really loved our stay and were so impressed with the facilities and all the extras provided that you might forget on a self-catering holiday, they really made the difference, especially the stair gate and the kitchen bits! Lovely holiday lodge - in a very peaceful location and perfect for our short break. Contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. Even had a flypast from the Red Arrows on their way back from a show at Falmouth - awesome!
