Nestled in the Pentewan Valley, close to Charlestown, this beautifully refurbished former mill is the perfect retreat for those looking to sample a slice of peaceful Cornish life and explore the coast.

Located on the edge of a small family farm, this barn is within walking distance of a restaurant and shop. Once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery, the traditional village of Mevagissey is just a short drive away from the property and boasts a working harbour, cob and slate buildings, and a ferry to the nearby port of Fowey. Other nearby attractions that provide fun for all the family include numerous National Trust properties and gardens, The Eden Project, and the Tall Ships at Charlestown.

Enter the wonderful stone building through the front door and into the hallway. You will find a spacious dual-aspect lounge boasting exposed stone and beams, large comfy seating and Smart TV - the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Moving out of the lounge and directly across the hallway you'll find the fully equipped kitchen/diner featuring a dining table for four people, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a utility cupboard with a washer/dryer. Along the hallway is a separate WC and the stairs up to the first of two bedrooms. Bedroom one is a good size twin with a TV and en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Moving along the long, bright hallway is the master bedroom offering a double bed with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a sitting area with TV - a wonderful space to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Outside is a private garden laid to lawn with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. There is private parking for two cars, with the option of additional parking on the owner's land.

This cottage was pristine and gave the impression that we were the first guests. The owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming and nothing was a trouble for them. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage as a super place to spend a holiday.

We really enjoyed staying in this beautifully maintained barn conversion. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We stayed with my mother who is aged 90+ and it met her needs very well too. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the garden. There is a beautiful riverside walk nearby.

We had a lovely week. The cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean with everything you could need. It is also in a very good location. Very close to lots of places to visit but also tucked away and peaceful. Loved seeing the rabbits come out and also the horses been put to bed at night. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely like to stay again.

Trelawny was a wonderful find. Clean, comfortable and well equipped - a real home from home. The welcome pack was much appreciated and the location was perfect to visit the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Bodmin Jail. The easy walk along from the cottage to Pentewan Beach became a nightly favourite, with the odd adventure up into KingRead mores Wood. We were very sorry to leave such a lovely peaceful place. Cottage was lovely so so clean had everything you would want in a cottage beds were comfy couldn't fault cottage at all only Wi-Fi. Lovely welcome pack very thoughtful would defiantly recommend.

A lovely property in a perfect location for visiting The Eden Project and The Lost gardens of Heligan. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. There are many restaurants nearby. A spacious, comfortable and very clean holiday cottage. Peaceful surroundings and a perfect, central location for days out. The owner was very welcoming and was there to wave us off at the end of our stay.

This is our 2nd stay in this lovely well equipped & spacious cottage , it's in a lovely peaceful location only a short drive from St Austell with all the shops & jus a 15 min drive to Mevagissey, we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Trelawny cottage was very comfortable and clean, and very central for visiting places. There is a nice 2 mile flat walk along the river and through the woods to Pentewan, where the Ship Inn does really good food, also the Woodman, a 10 minute walk on the main road, best book unless you eat early.

A lovely well appointed cottage, spacious and very comfortable in every way. It's in a very quiet and peaceful location but very close to good pubs (Kingswood Bar & Restaurant, Polgooth Inn) and lots of interesting places (Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, etc). Very handy location for South Cornwall, lovely quiet setting, owners are welcoming and obliging, cottage is tastefully furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both with en suites, lounge with TV, hallway and nice kitchen. Recommended.
