Property code: 82928

This stunning Cornish barn is within easy reach of the coast, with a wonderful woodland walk direct from the front door, taking you into Porthtowan. The village of Porthtowan boasts a mermaid pool (outdoor large rock pool/swimming pool) which is visible at low tide and amenities including a village shop and several places to eat. While exploring the rock pools and following the coast path, look out for the occasional dolphin, seal or basking shark that call these waters home. Head to the village of St Agnes with more beaches, coves and eateries. Watch the sunset at the Beacon with a locally bought takeaway. Once you have finished investigating the local area, venture a little further afield to some of Cornwall’s most popular attractions, which include The Eden Project, Land’s End, Godrevy and St. Ives, all within easy reach.

Step inside through the stable door and into a welcoming, open-plan kitchen/diner with plenty of space for all the family. With a lovely wood burner and exposed beams giving a cosy feel, it’s a great room for catching up with relatives over morning coffee at the dining table. The kitchen area has everything you will need, including an electric double oven and gas hob, dishwasher, under-counter fridge and microwave, so create a feast for all the family for a special celebration. It also has a Smart TV and Sonos sound system so you can play your favourite songs. Stairs rise to the east wing from here. Head through a hallway with bespoke shelving, fridge/freezer with ice compartment and under-counter freezer into the stylish bathroom. With high ceilings, a bath with a separate shower and rainfall shower, WC and double doors onto the terrace, this really is perfect for a soak after a long day at the beach! From the kitchen/diner, head through to the lounge with a choice of comfortable sofas and seating, so gather round and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV in front of the roaring wood burner. Bi-fold doors open onto the terrace, step through into the games room with more bi-fold doors and plenty to keep the children amongst you busy. The washroom is also accessed from here and has a washing machine and tumble dryer along with a WC. Stairs rise to the west wing. On this side of the barn are a super-king-size bedroom, a twin room and a bunk bedroom, all with views across to farmland and a contemporary shower room with rainfall shower and WC. Accessed via a separate staircase from the kitchen, the remaining two bedrooms are a king and a double, both with tasteful interiors, dressing table and far-reaching views of farmland. The king has a Juliette balcony, so open the doors and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Heading outside, the wisteria climbs the barn and you’ll find an array of shrubs and plants. There’s also seating for all the family to enjoy al fresco dining with a charcoal BBQ on the go. The garden with the courtyard is completely enclosed. The garden also features a dog/wetsuit bath to wash off after a day at the beach. There is private courtyard parking for four cars.

Perfect house for our holiday in Cornwall with dogs and little ones. Lovely toys and books for the little ones and was great to be able to enjoy the outside area with the area secured by gates. House was really nicely done and felt very clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring the area and beaches.
