Tucked away on the owners' working farm in the countryside, yet near Crackington village and with an abundance of walks straight from the doorstep, this is a paradise for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Take a mile-long stroll through the woods and fields via a footpath down into Crackington Haven and visit the local pub, cafes or explore the beach and join the South West Coast Path. The surfing town of Bude with its plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants, beaches and sea pool is just 10 miles away. Alternatively, head to the village of Boscastle (5 miles) or explore the history of Tintagel and its castle, just 8.5 miles. You’ll find Port Isaac with its well-known filming harbour and village only 17 miles away.

As you enter this detached, reverse-level barn conversion you’ll find a spacious hallway which leads off to two of the bedrooms. The first is a king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC, while the second is a family room with a king-size bed and a single bed. Also on the ground floor there is a bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. Up on the first floor, there is the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen with vaulted ceilings throughout and comfortable sofas that are perfect for snuggling up on to watch your favourite film on the smart TV with the wood burner crackling in the background. A home-cooked meal can be whipped up in the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Head through to the dining room with seating for everyone to enjoy breakfast together and views onto the gardens. Completing the accommodation is the final bedroom, another family room with a king-size and single bed along with an en-suite WC.

The garden is completely enclosed and private to the side and front, mainly lawn, with mature shrubs and plants. There’s also seating and a charcoal BBQ for you to dine alfresco. Parking for two cars to the side and more to the rear of the property.

The cottage was in a very good location in a quiet setting and ideal for exploring the North Cornwall coast. The 3 bedrooms were very spacious and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. Such a lovely place to stay. The bedrooms and all rooms are very spacious lending a luxurious feel to the stay. The location is walkable (steep downhill on a public footpath) to Crackington Haven which appeared to be one of the less busy beaches when we stayed in May. Although there is a camp site nearby was lovely and quiet and being at the end of the lane had virtually no traffic to speak of. Loved it. Hide
