This spacious family home nestles in a quiet spot and offers guests a relaxing and comfortable base from which to explore, within walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants.

The cottage is located on the edge of the market town of Liskeard, with shops, bars and restaurants within a mile. It is an ideal base for touring Cornwall and South Devon, and the rugged Bodmin Moor, with leisurely walks and beautiful beaches nearby. The railway station is less than half a mile away, where you enjoy a wooded valley ride to the fishing port of Looe and its sandy beach. The Eden Project (22 miles) offers a fun and educational day out for all ages, or you could visit Adrenalin Quarry (5 miles) for an action-packed day out. The historic harbours of Looe and Polperro are within 10 miles where you can mosey around the quaint, narrow streets lined with shops and cafes, or enjoy a lovely boat trip.

After parking your car at the rear of the property, walk through the garden and enter the detached house via the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, and washer/dryer, and is a great space to prepare an evening meal or pack up a picnic for a day of exploring. The dining area is a sociable space where you can sit and discuss your day with the family. Moving through into the lounge, this comfortable room offers ample seating, a smart TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. Out in the hallway is a convenient ground-floor WC. Moving upstairs, there are two bright bedrooms, both with king-size beds – one of which is a zip-and-link that can be made up as 2’6” twin beds on request. Completing this floor is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside is a private walled garden laid to lawn, with a patio area, garden furniture, and a charcoal BBQ. This is a lovely, private spot to enjoy some al fresco dining or a drink at the end of the day. There is also private off-road parking for one car - leave the car parked all weeks and take advantage of being located within a short walk of the train station offering convenient rail and bus links.

The cottage was very comfortable both the sofas and the beds. The was fully equipt with everything you could need. It was very clean throughout and it was handy to be provided with hand wash etc. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The cottage is well placed for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Would book again.

It was a lovely property and we were met by the owners who were very welcoming to us all. House had everything you could need so I would highly recommend to anyone as well located for Looe and Polperro and many other destinations in Cornwall

Really welcoming and cosy cottage. Best we have stayed in by far. Everything is provided and more. Super clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage in a great location for travelling around Cornwall. Hosts were very welcoming and everything we needed for a relaxing break was provided. Would certainly book this property again.

The accommodation was better than advertised and we could not have wanted anything else provided .Clean very tidy and loverly furnishings all seemed very new throughout the house.local owners live very near ,made us feel welcome on arrival and during our stay .Parking for one car was great and station is 50yds from property but not invasive,would hRead moreighly recommend for short break when in area. A very comfortable house with a high standard of finish and furnishings. Property owner very helpful and non intrusive. A great week dampened by the wet weather. Enclosed garden great for the pooch. 5 stars all the way and we would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The house was lovely, very clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed. The garden was very pretty and fully enclosed so great for keeping the dog safe. The house is near to Liskeard station and the bus routes so it enabled me to have a few days without driving. The town centre is about a 15 minute walk. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could need to cook a meal. Liskeard itself has lots of shops and take aways and is a great base, close to lots of lovely places.

A very well built and decorated house, well equipped with all one would need. We normally don't cook on holiday, so didn't use much of the equipment except for the cooker to heat pizzas. Only problem was the total absence of instructions for all of the appliances, but the owners found one for the washing machine. We found the wifi a bit flaky and nRead moreot as fast as we would have liked. Newcomers should be mindful that most country lanes are deep ditches with tarmac on the bottom so drive slowly ! Hide
