Beautiful period cottage with modern interiors and fabulous sea views, the perfect retreat for families and couples seeking the Cornish seaside.

Situated in an elevated position on St Ives/Carbis Bay border with views over the bay, this 19th-century cottage is well located for exploring the local area on foot. Renowned for its art galleries, museums and fascinating history, there is plenty to see and do in the area. St Ives boasts a range of eclectic bars and restaurants, with famous beaches, shops, a harbour and plenty of coastal walks. The sandy beaches of Gwithian and Godrevy are within 6 miles for a good day out. You will also be located in a great spot to explore West Cornwall - Land’s End is 18 miles away and the Lizard just 25 miles. The city of Truro is 23 miles away, offering a host of attractions including a modern cathedral and unique shopping experiences.

Enter this wonderful cosy cottage and into the snug which has a beautiful focal wood burner, a stain glass internal window and comfortable seating. This stunning room really is a great spot to sit and watch a film on the Smart TV. Moving through to the diner and on to a galley kitchen complete with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, bread maker, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer. Through the dining area is a downstairs twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and separate walk-in shower and WC. Back through the diner and up the stairs is a beautiful bedroom with sea views and plenty of storage space - this really is a lovely room to laze away in and enjoy the pretty outlook. Across the hall is a shower room and WC. At the end of the corridor is a stunning bright and stylish lounge with a beautiful balcony with garden furniture and a sea view. This lounge has a large Smart TV and an office area which is a handy space if you need to catch up with some work.

Outside is a staggered patio area with a sun house and a patio with garden furniture. There is private parking for one car available.

Well equipped cottage in a great location. Myself, my wife, and our dog thoroughly enjoyed it. We have stayed in several properties around the area and this was by far the best equipped, which helped make it feel like a real home. Lovely quirky cottage in a great spot for exploring St Ives/Carbis Bay on foot or by bus if you dont have a car. Garden ideal for a dog, secure (unless you have a 2 year old Spaniel able to clear a 5 foot high, 2 foot deep wall) Kitchen well equipped, 2 good size bathrooms. Beautiful views from the balcony.

A lovely clean cottage which is conveniently located for St Ives with Carbis Bay beach close by. The sea view from the upstairs lounge is wonderful and binoculars have been thoughtfully provided. It is is well equipped and just like 'home from home'. Stairs inside the cottage and the rear garden steps are quite steep (extra care needed when using).Read more The bus stops outside the front of the cottage which not only saved the walk into St Ives but also gave options to visit places such as Penzance. Charming cottage, you feel like your home. It has everything you need and also find unexpected surprises, such as shovels for the beach, games or a pencil box for the children. The location is excellent, opposite to bus stops for St Ives or Penzance. Although Carbys Bay is the closest beach, our favorite was Porthminster beach, which was 2-3 bus stRead moreops away (also walkable) and quicker to access. This was a wonderful miner's cottage, extended and modernised to satisfy modern standards. Very comfortable, a well equipped kitchen, a downstairs and an upstairs lounge both with fabulous views, and a pretty garden.

Lovely cottage with sitting area looking across sea views to Godrevy lighthouse that is a beautiful landscape to see ! Also cosy and pretty inside with beautiful stained glass features and a lovely log fire. Great location for dogs with walking distance to landmark of Knolls monument & Tesco very convenient. We had a lovely stay in Chy An Gweal, Carbis Bay. The cottage was beautiful and was in a fantastic location, about a mile walk into St Ives. The cottage its self had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends.

A lovely Cornish cottage with great views over the bay. Very well appointed and comfortable. Stairs are steep and need great care. Not possible to close stair gate due to handrail.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was like staying in someones home with many personal items available for us to use or just look at. Log burner was a real bonus, bought all our logs from Tesco just up the road. Parking a challenge but manageable. Comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything thing you could possibly need. Great location. Lots of useful things in the cottage. Appliances a little bit challenging until we found the manuals in the magazine rack. Good bus links to everywhere. We ended up having to buy a week bus ticket due to constantly being blocked in the parking space as next door is being renovated. We also couldnt find the key to the summer house whRead moreich was a pity. The gardens are nice. Becks fish and chips down the road is a must visit. Hide

The cottage was absolutely beautiful , catering for all your needs. The little touches around the property made it very special . Great views from the balcony A good dog walk down to the beach and into St Ives . The garden is perfect for anyone with a dog. . We would definitely recommend this property .

The cottage was fantastic in every way. Perfect location with easy access in to to St Ives, well equipped and stocked with all the things to make For a perfect get away. The cottage layout was ideal and the lovely upstairs sitting area with balcony and double doors is a great feature.

We enjoyed a really lovely week in Carbis Bay. The cottage was perfect for a family of four - very comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Fab location - great beaches within easy walking distance yet far enough from very busy St Ives, and great for a shady dog walk (it was hot!) up to Knill's Monument. Everything about the cottage was super the extra touches like books, games, (we loved the Cludo) binoculars etc were a lovely surprise, the quality of products & attention to detail was exemplary. The garden is beautiful and dog safe.
