This wonderful barn is ideal for families and is positioned just a short drive from handy amenities. The seaside village of Portreath is just 3 miles away and has a shop, pubs and cafes, as well as a sandy beach and a harbour. There are plenty of options for walkers, with the coastal path taking you through the different local habitats and the stone ruins of old wheelhouses. If two wheels is more your thing, head to Devoran (8.5 miles) along the Coast to Coast trail or follow the ‘mining trails’ close to Portreath's various patches of woodland. Take a load off and drive along the scenic coast and visit Godrevy Lighthouse (10 miles), Hayle (10 miles) and the trendy seaside town of St Ives (17 miles).

Step into this bright and light barn conversion with an array of modern comforts and character features. The contemporary and well-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need for your holiday whether it's a hearty meal or preparing a picnic for a day's outing. The lounge/diner is a great social space for catching up with family or watching your favourite film on the Smart TV. Upstairs, you'll find a king-size bedroom and a 2’6” twin bedroom (which can be made up as a king-size upon request) with beamed ceilings in both. There is now a recently added games area on the mezzanine flooring, to keep children amused on rainy days. Completing the interior is a family bathroom.

Heading outside, there's a private terrace with outdoor seating for you to dine alfresco and admire the countryside views. Alternatively, make use of the shared garden with its play area and swings for the children, and plenty of space where the dogs can run free. We had a lovely New Year at the cottage. The owners are very friendly and accommodating (many thanks for the cream tea!). A great location for exploring the coast, lots nearby. We visited Falmouth and St Ives, but much more within striking distance if you have more time. Very comfy living room to chill out in after the day's adventures.

Great cottage with a lovely garden, childrens play area and plenty of space for dog exercise. The owners have provided everything needed for a comfortable holiday, down to the smallest detail. The cream tea was especially welcome..
