A Christmas brainteaser

Is it that time of the year again already? Judging by the frenzied shoppers, twinkly street lights and the cold winter chill, it most definitely is the start of the festive period! As the old song goes, it really is the most wonderful time of the year - not least because the holidays offer the chance to spend some quality time with your nearest and dearest. There’s truly no better feeling than watching Christmas classics or singing along to festive anthems and carols over a glass or two of mulled wine.

To mark this most joyous (and frantic) time of the year, we have come up with a fun Christmas brain teaser that’s sure to leave you scratching your head.

Imagine the scene: it’s Christmas Eve and a family have invited all of their loved ones together under one roof to spend Christmas at a cottage in Cornwall. Everyone has arrived and everything is going swimmingly - until the father goes into the kitchen and realises he can’t find the Christmas turkey! Bearing in mind there are many mouths to feed and all the shops are closed, it’s no wonder he starts to panic and can’t help but think that Christmas is going to be ruined if he doesn’t track down the five turkeys that have gone AWOL around the house.

This is one Christmas brain teaser where you really have to focus and find out where those turkeys have mysteriously vanished to. Most people take between three and four minutes to locate the precious poultry, so be sure to pay close attention in each of the nine rooms and you just might be able to solve the puzzle in a quick time!

As far as Christmas brain teasers go, this one’s fiendishly tricky and definitely not as easy as it may seem. Do your best to help this poor father find his turkeys so the whole household can celebrate Christmas on full stomachs. Make sure to try this one out with your friends and family and see how they fare.
