This remarkable coastal apartment has been fitted and furnished to a delightful standard, offering the perfect base for a family retreat with the beach only 900 yards from your door step.

One of the many reasons you might choose to stay at No 5 The Beach - Kennack Sands is that Cornwall's captivating coast is only 900 yards from the doorstep, allowing plenty of leisurely gazing out over the ocean and the surrounding countryside from within the comfort of the apartment. A popular spot for surfers, Kennack Sands is known for its impressive waves, yet its golden beach is perfect for lounging in the sun if you're in the mood to chill out and do little else.

The interior strikes a balance between modernity and seaside chic with a smattering of stylish touches. Painted in coastal hues, the open-plan apartment is spacious, especially when the bi-folding doors are open bringing the tranquil countryside in. Lay out a picnic blanket on the shared lawn, cosy up with a magazine in the comfort of the lounge or retreat to the sumptuous bedrooms where soft linens will wrap you up in a blissful night's sleep.

Set on the rugged Cornish coast, you'll be perfectly placed for seaside walks, cycling and water sports. If you fancy a change of scenery, why not take a stroll along the picturesque coastal path which winds its way through the nearby Natural England Gwendreath National Nature Reserve (5 miles). The picture-postcard fishing village of Coverack, little known for its amazing Terence Coventry Sculpture Park is 7 miles away, or visit the Poltesco Valley and Carleon Cove with a wealth of history to explore.

Excellent apartment. Clean and well equipped. One criticism would be the noise from the people talking outside the adjacent pub could be heard.

The apartment was fantastic, really clean and had everything you would every need. It was also very close to the beach and had lovely views. The only slight down side is the pub downstairs but it wasn't too noisey and people had generally gone home by 11pm.

The apartment is lovely, but it does need to be made clear to any prospective visitors that both bedrooms are directly above the next door public house's beer garden and are therefore noisy at night.

Quite honestly the best holiday accommodation we've ever experienced. A real home away from home. Clean, comfortable, stylish and well appointed with everything you could ever need. The attention to detail was second to none from the classy welcome cookies, crisps and bubbly, to the quality sound and entertainment systems, and even cleaning productRead mores to maintain with during our stay. Greatly appreciated, a have already recommended the spot to several people. Hide

Very nice accommodation , spoilt by the bar under the bedroom windows , bar stays open till 1am and means if you want to get sleep you have to shut all the windows which is not ideal on a warm day . Location wise its ok if you dont mind driving everywhere as its a bit off the beaten track

The apartment is comfortable and extremely well and thoughtfully equipped. The location is excellent with great views of the sea. The pub next door may be a drawback at some periods of the year although we did not find it so. Overall we were delighted.

The beach is quite a hike but the car park at the bottom was reasonable price. The pub being just below the apartment can be a bit noisy but we never heard it after about 11pm.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
