A simply stunning property with a stylish and contemporary finish in a tranquil countryside location. An ideal base for exploring the attractions that Cornwall has to offer, with a beautiful enclosed garden and BBQ, it is perfect for a Cornish countryside retreat.

Embrace peaceful country living with both your two-legged and four-legged friends at this beautiful property set in traditional Cornish farmland. Close to the stunning scenery of Bodmin Moor (15 miles), the historic town of Liskeard (6 miles) and some of the UK's most idyllic fishing harbours, you can dart from crabbing and long walks, to picnics and lazy lunches enjoying some of the freshest fish caught right on your doorstep.

All throughout the property, there is a light and spacious feel highlighted by the beautiful open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. Prepare hearty feasts after a day of exploring in the well-equipped, contemporary kitchen and snuggle down in front of the woodburner-effect fire with a great book or heart-warming film. Leading off the living space are two delightfully furnished bedrooms, one king-size and one twin zip-and-link, which share a pleasing en-suite Jack and Jill bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The outdoor space is perfect for your canine companions, with a completely enclosed garden and a 2.5-acre dog walking field with direct access to some great footpaths. Warmer evenings can be spent enjoying the lovely BBQ area with garden furniture, before heading up the steps to an enclosed private lawn with far-reaching views across the tranquil countryside.

The nearby villages of Minions (7 miles) and Pensilva (2 miles) have all the basic amenities you should need, with small shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. For those who are fans of horse riding, head to Caradon Hill and Trekking Centre (2 miles) and hack over the beautiful Bodmin Moor or discover the old mines of Caradon Hill. The nearest town of Liskeard, just under 6 miles away, is steeped in history all around, right down to the shops which still retain their original Edwardian facades. If it's sea air you're after, then the beautiful fishing villages of Looe (15 miles) and Polperro (19 miles) are a must-visit with beautiful beaches and gorgeous restaurants. Looe is a particularly family-friendly destination – book an afternoon at Rockpool Rambles, an activity run by the Looe Marine Conservation Group, where children can discover all about rock pooling, crabbing and fishing.

We had a fabulous stay, kitchen well equipped and spacious. Bathroom toiletries are a nice touch. Plenty of room, even when we had visitors! Plenty of storage space too. We felt very safe in these strange times, being able to use hand sanitiser provided at the door and hand wash at each sink. Lovely accommodation!!

Lovely property in a quiet location. The Coop was modern, clean and spacious. Claire, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The bottle that was waiting on arriving late was a nice touch and having the anti bac station outside. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again or recommend.

The Coop was very nicely furnished - modern - and very warm and comfortable. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and a dog. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack for the dog and bottle for us! We stayed a week in Sept '19. It was really lovely. Open plan so nice & airy. The lawned terrace was nice to sit out with a coffee in the morning. Good location to get to many tourist sites. Friendly owner. The only thing I would say is although website says pub within 1.5m, in reality this is not really walkable. There's a public footpath but it wRead moreas way too overgrown to walk through. Not advisable in the dark. To walk to pub on the road would take quite a while and roads are very narrow. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
