Set in the peace and quiet of the Cornish countryside just on the border with Devon, this pretty property promises a wonderfully relaxing escape to guests. Stylish and contemporary, this wood-panelled holiday home offers the opportunity to embrace a slower pace of life, with views overlooking the Tamar Valley. Wake up among beautiful scenery, grab a cup of coffee and step out onto the purpose-built wooden seating area to watch the sun rise over the hills.

Whether you're dining alfresco on the decking taking in the views, or off on a walk through the owners' 10 acres of land, you're never too far from beautiful countryside here. Stunning vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and calm, neutral colours make the open-plan living area feel fresh and bright. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas in the evening in front of the wood burner and it's soon a cosy haven. Drift off to sleep in one of the indulgent bedrooms; in the morning as soon as you wake up, venture out through the French doors and take in the invigorating fresh air.

After you've explored the pastureland and lake, and exhausted all the available outdoor games, head further to bustling Bude (10 miles) and enjoy all things by the seaside. The tidal pool near Crooklets Beach is well worth a visit. The Tamar Lakes Country Park (12 miles) is a great spot for those looking for a more active holiday with sailing, windsurfing and kayaking available, while RHS Garden Rosemoor is a perfect place for a peaceful walk among pretty shrubs and trees.

A beautiful lodge, maintained at the highest standard of decor, cleanliness and comfort for the delight of the guests. Mrs & Mrs Gordon are wonderful hosts and the welcome pack of fresh bread, a delicious cake and a bottle of wine was a lovely touch. The views from the lodge are gorgeous and the grounds are available to guests to walk in. Fabulous Read morestay and I will certainly look to book again when we next come down to Cornwall. Hide

We had an amazing stay and were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, it really felt like a home from home. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. A great location for being able to explore this part of the coast.

The lodge is exquisite. We could not fault the accommodation or the amazing welcome we had from our hosts. I cant recommend this property highly enough. We had the post perfect holiday exploring the north Cornwall coast and Dartmoor. Perfect for our little family and the dogs.

The lodge was the perfect spot for a holiday with a toddler and a puppy. The house was spotless and was a cosy retreat to come back to after a bracing winter walk and Annie was a lovely host.

We loved it all!! The most beautiful place to call our home for a short while, in a very quiet location with fantastic views. Spectacular lodge, location and hosts. A variety of areas to explore, all within 30-60 minute drive. A perfect stay for dogs as well with lush fields to romp around in. The deck is as amazing as the lodge, with lovely views, outdoor seating areas and a space for al fresco dining. Highly recommend.

Great location, the cottage had everything you would need. The owners were on site and able to assist with additional firewood and ideas for walks, they couldnt be more helpful. Very peaceful location, a great place to get away from it all and relax.

An absolute gem, the photos dont do this lodge justice. Everything is so well thought out, beautifully presented, comfy beds, full size towels etc. Fabulous large field for dogs, throw, towel, bowl and treats also. Very welcoming hosts in Annie and Chris. Our favourite lodge ever, and we have stayed in a lot!
