Views are stunning, great for a couple and a dog. On the border of Cornwall and Devon was perfect for a mixed holiday. Looe beach is not far away, Dartmouth national park is on your doorstep and popular tourist towns like Padstow are 1 hour away.

I would 100% recommend staying at Thimble Lodge. It was the only place I have ever been that I seriously didnt want to leave. I am normally ok going home, I just wanted to stay here forever. The views, the peace, the location - everything was amazing. Our dog Poppy thought she was heaven. So many things to do close by too.

A lovely cosy lodge in a beautiful location. Fantastic views even in the rain. Ideal spot for dog walkers with so many fantastic walks and dog friendly pubs nearby. The owner was very helpful and always on hand but not intrusive. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Thimble lodge was so lovely, we was there over the new year and definitely one we will remember. We would love to go back in the summer. Our dog also had the best time too.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
