Period property with private pool, steam room and hot tub, less than two miles from the sandy beach at Widemouth Bay.

A period farmhouse in an idyllic, rural location in beautiful Cornwall surrounded by the tranquil countryside, but also not far from the dramatic North Cornish coastline. Not only that, but this property gives its guests the opportunity to splash about in the private indoor pool, detox in the steam room and chill out in the hot tub. Kids will love the shared play barn, tennis courts and games room.

This large family home was once a working farmhouse, demonstrated by its many original features, such as the feature fireplace in the kitchen, home to a traditional Aga oven. The exposed beams and low ceilings are also reminiscent of the property's history adding to its inviting character. It has been lovingly renovated and stylishly decorated to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Cosy up in the lounge and warm your toes by the wood burner after a blustery walk.

Widemouth Bay's long sandy beach is 2 miles from the property, but there are numerous picturesque coves along the coastline such as Sandymouth (8 miles), Crackington Haven (8 miles) and Boscastle (12 miles). If you're a keen walker you could view these stunning places from the South West Coast Path. The seaside town of Bude is also 4 miles away with its delightful beaches, historic canal and seaside town to explore. Or you could hop over the border and enjoy some Devonshire delights, such as the cobbled streets of Clovelly, beautiful Dartmoor or the traditional market towns of Bideford and Barnstaple.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Manor very peaceful spacious, comfortable and well equipped with lots to do on sight and games for rainy days couldn't ask for more. Boiler went off once but was sorted within the hour by a very helpful mark.

Great property to stay in. Very comfortable and spacious character accommodation. Ideal place for family as has small indoor pool to enjoy, games room and for the smaller ones a well equipped play room. Outside plenty of space to enjoy. Not a bad comment but a car is needed to go even to the closest beach as narrow roads with no pavement

Lovely place to stay in gorgeous surroundings. Only downside was the size of the swimming pool for adults but for young children its perfect.

This is a nice property overall. The pool is one of those larger ones you could have in your garden with a resistance function if you want to swim. The house offered enough sleeping and living space for 8 people. The property is close to some really nice beaches. This was the ideal place for a family holiday with grandparents, children and grandchildren. The swimming pool, tennis court and fishing lake kept the grandchildren occupied and the television was hardly ever on. Bude has a lot to offer and Tintagel, Hidden Valley and Lydford Gorge were within easy reach for us to visit.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
