Period property with private pool, steam room and hot tub, less than two miles from the sandy beach at Widemouth Bay.

A period farmhouse in an idyllic, rural location in beautiful Cornwall surrounded by the tranquil countryside, but also not far from the dramatic North Cornish coastline. Not only that, but this property gives its guests the opportunity to splash about in the private indoor pool, detox in the steam room and chill out in the hot tub. Kids will love the shared play barn, tennis courts and games room.

This large family home was once a working farmhouse, demonstrated by its many original features, such as the feature fireplace in the kitchen, home to a traditional Aga oven. The exposed beams and low ceilings are also reminiscent of the property's history adding to its inviting character. It has been lovingly renovated and stylishly decorated to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Cosy up in the lounge and warm your toes by the wood burner after a blustery walk.

Widemouth Bay's long sandy beach is 2 miles from the property, but there are numerous picturesque coves along the coastline such as Sandymouth (8 miles), Crackington Haven (8 miles) and Boscastle (12 miles). If you're a keen walker you could view these stunning places from the South West Coast Path. Or you could hop over the border and enjoy some Devonshire delights, such as the cobbled streets of Clovelly, beautiful Dartmoor or the traditional market towns of Bideford and Barnstaple.

We loved this cottage! We stayed here with 6 adults, 4 children and 1 dog and we all had a brilliant time. During our stay the weather wasnt brilliant, yet we found plenty to do just at the cottage alone (swimming, tennis, pool). The owners were very friendly and helpful- we couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.

The owners were very welcoming and on arrival there were fresh scones, jam and clotted cream, milk in the fridge along with a bottle of prosecco and some lager. What a welcome!!!!!

We had an amazing holiday staying in the farmhouse, from the moment we arrived until we left we felt nothing was too much trouble. On arrival the Prosecco and scones were a lovey treat and the spa area with steam room, hot tub and pool were a great addition, especially on a rainy day. The farmhouse was perfect for all 10 of us plus a dog (the enclosed rear garden a godsend). All rooms were clean and spacious. Owners were extremely accommodating and the cream team / Prosecco on arrival a very nice gesture. All in all great accommodation in a lovely location.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
